The main objective of the Careers is to help support the people of Frog Lake First Nation by providing opportunities in training and employment. It is committed to helping members become self sufficient, productive members by enhancing their employability dimensions such as career decision making, employment maintenance and skills enhancement and development.

Funding Application Requirements

Please include the following when applying for Post Secondary Funding:

  1. Letter of Acceptance from an approved College or University
  2. Photocopy of your Indian Status, proof of you FLFN Band Membership
  3. Program information: Cost of program, length of program, year of study, necessary fees
  4. Completed funding application form

Funding Application Deadline:
Fall Semester (September start) – May 15
Winter Semester (January start) – November 15

Cheque Distribution:
Post Secondary Student Cheques will be released on the first of every month. If the first falls on a weekend, cheques will be distributed on the following Monday

University Transfer Program (Online Courses)

Class 1 Truck Transport includes:

  1. 45 hours Theory
  2. 28 hours Practical Driving

Students advance through Practical Exercises involving: Rural and Urban Traffic circuits under Actual Driving Conditions.

Class 5 training in conjunction with Frog Lake Social Development Program
